Clarity Traders vs FundingPips: Which Prop Firm Is Better for You?
Clarity Traders and FundingPips compared: two-step targets, daily loss choices, minimum days, payout schedules, weekend and news rules, and instant-style accounts.

Key takeaways
- Both two-step challenges use 8%, then 5%.
- FundingPips links your split to the payout schedule you choose; Clarity's split rises with each payout, with no minimum days.
- FundingPips adds news and weekend conditions on funded (Master) accounts; Clarity allows weekend holding and news trading.
- FundingPips Zero and Clarity Instant both skip the evaluation, with different limits and rules.
FundingPips grew quickly with low prices and many variations of its challenge. Clarity Traders keeps three account types with one set of rules each. Here is how the main programs compare.

Targets are the same; the options are not
Both firms ask for 8% then 5%. FundingPips 2 Step Standard uses a 5% daily loss limit and asks for at least 3 trading days in each phase. Clarity's Two Step uses the same 5% daily limit with no minimum days, so you can pass as soon as you reach both targets.
Splits that depend on your payout schedule
On FundingPips 2 Step Standard, your split depends on how often you take payouts: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on demand and 100% monthly, with a consistency score on some options. Clarity's split depends on how many payouts you have taken: 70%, then 80%, then 90%, or 100% from the start with the add-on, paid every 14 days or weekly with Express Payouts.
Weekend and news rules
FundingPips' help center says weekend holding and news trading are allowed on Master (funded) accounts, but profits from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news are not counted unless the trade was opened at least 5 hours before the release, and deliberately trading news during the evaluation is not allowed. Some third-party guides report stricter weekend handling on Master accounts in 2026, so check FundingPips' current terms if you plan to hold over the weekend. Clarity allows both news trading and weekend holding; see our weekend holding guide.

Skipping the evaluation: Zero vs Instant
- FundingPips Zero: no evaluation, a 3% daily and 5% trailing maximum loss, a 15% consistency score on each request and a 95% split. No trades are allowed within 10 minutes of high-impact news, and weekend holding is a breach.
- Clarity Instant: no evaluation, a 3% daily and 5% maximum loss, a 10% consistency rule, accounts up to $200K, and news trading and weekend holding allowed. See Instant accounts.
