How the Daily Loss Limit Works
The limit is measured from your balance at the start of each trading day, and resets when a new day begins.
What You Can and Can't Do
These apply to every account type, in both the evaluation and funded stages.
Allowed
- Trading the newsNo restrictions around economic releases.
- Holding trades overnight and over the weekend
- Any trading style: scalping, day trading, swing trading
- Expert Advisors (EAs)With the EA add-on at checkout.
- Trading on weekendsWith the Trade on Weekends add-on.
- No minimum days to pass and no time limit
Not allowed
- High-frequency trading and latency arbitrage
- Trades held for less than 60 seconds
- Hedging or coordinating trades across accountsIncluding accounts held by other people.
- Market manipulation
- Going more than 60 days without placing a tradeTrade at least once every 60 days to keep the account active.
The Consistency Rule
Applies to funded accounts when you request a payout. It makes sure rewards come from steady trading, not one lucky day.
